Federal Reserve Bank Lines Up Architects for 270,000-SF Branch Building

HOUSTON-A NJ architect will team with a Houston firm to design the 270,000-sf branch building for the Federal Reserve Bank.

The site, once the location of the Jefferson Davis Hospital, is just west of downtown Houston. Architects Michael Graves of Princeton, NJ, and the firm of Pierce Goodwin Alexander & Linvilleof Houston will work together to design the structure. The 270,000-sf building is scheduled for completion in about three years. The Federal Reserve Bank has outgrown its downtown building where it has been located since 1958.
