Roel has poured most of the 42,000 cubic yards of concrete for theproject, which is the largest concrete structure to be built in San Diego in thelast 30 years, Roel officials say.

The high-rise, being developed by Vancouver-based Bosa Development, reflects the confidence many builders have in future demand for housing in the central business district. Horizons will feature two 25-story towers and is already 97% pre-sold, even though it won't be completed until next January.

The complex is bordered by Island Avenue, Market Street, Front Street andFirst Avenue. The five units that remain available start at $1.15 million each.
