LA-based Dworsky Associates, which has been headquartered here for nearly half a century, recently merged with New York-based Cannon Design and now is part of Cannon's West Coast practice. The new entity is called CannonDworsky.
The newly created firm has announced that it has signed a 10-year, four-month lease valued at $7.3 million for space on the first two floors of Divco West's recently remodeled 1901 Avenue of the Stars building in Century City. The firm will also spend about $750,000 to redesign its space.
The LA office of Westmac Commercial represented CannonDworsky. Divco West was repped by the local office of CB Richard Ellis.
With the new lease done, Dworsky will soon vacate its longtime space at 3530 Wilshire Blvd. in the Mid-Wilshire District. Cannon, meantime, plans to leave its offices in the World Savings Building, 11601 Wilshire in West LA.
