Now comes the next step in the big box giant's growth pattern--upscale stores called Expo Design Centers, which feature higher-priced home décor products.
Home Depot wants to have as many as 200 Expos in Place within the next five years, with as many as 40 of them in the tri-state New York/New Jersey/Connecticut area. Of those, as many as eight will be in New Jersey; the first two have been firmed up for sites here and in Paramus, and "we are actively pursuing other New Jersey locations," according to company spokesperson Melissa Watkins.
