A dozen businesses are said to remain in the woodsy 25-year-old shopping center. Most have agreed to move out in the next 10 to 20 days, and port lawyers filed action earlier this week in Alameda County Municipal Court against three who have not.

In negotiations for months with village merchants regarding compensation and relocation, the Port says demolition is scheduled within three months, and a groundbreaking is scheduled for next summer.
