Rebuild Presidio, a partnership between the US Department of Energy's Rebuild America program, the Presidio Trust and the Presidio Alliance will host the "Presidio of San Francisco Energy Challenge 2000" on Oct. 12. The one-day event will include private-industry representatives touring the Presidio's commercial buildings to make energy-saving recommendations.
The Rebuild America Program seeks to educate communities about smarter energy use.The Presidio event aims at maximizing energy efficiency for small businesses, and at serving as a national model.
