Landry's Seafood Wants Rainforest Cafe Icon Properties

MINNEAPOLIS-Seafood restaurant says its interest in the jungle-themed restaurant stems from its desire to acquire eight icon locations. Shopping Mall locations targeted for closure.

The seafood restauranteur said it may close many of Rainforest's other units, especially those at shopping malls.

Landry's has offered $3.25 a share for Rainforest shares. Rainforest has 30 corporate units in the U.S. and has 11 international locations in partnerships through joint ventures.
