Mixed-Use Plan for Former Navy Boot Camp Awaiting Council Action

SAN DIEGO-City Council will get a shot at the Naval Training Center project, which calls for commercial development of a former Navy boot camp. The mixed-use plan calls for housing, hotels, parks, offices and an arts center

The planning commission has recommended approval of plans by the proposed master developer, Corky McMillin Cos. The proposal calls for housing, two hotels, parks, office buildings, an arts center and a number of other buildings at the site. The plan requires the widening of Rosecrans between Russell and Lytton avenues.
