It also wants the city to pay half the cost of a $10,000 feasibility study and, if the project appears workable, pitch in again for public improvements such as lighting and landscaping.
Lotus' chief operating officer Bhupen Amin made the request to the city council yesterday. City administrators favored using redevelopment funds to help finance the feasibility study, but council members put it on the back burner until they can look more closely at the overall proposal.
