TriQuest is merging with another injection molding firm, Puget Plastics of Tualatin, Ore. In June, the companies said they would consolidate operations at Puget's headquarters. Earlier this week, the companies announced they have instead set up in TriQuest's 3.25-acre, 100,000-sf plant at 3000 Columbia House Blvd.

The facility consists of a 42,000-sf. molding operation, 6,500-sf paint facility, 6,200-sf assembly plant, 3,000 sf clean room, 4,100-sf tooling operation, 32,000-sf warehouse and 10,000-sf administrative offices. The announcement was made in a joint release issued by Sealaska Corporation and Arctic Slope Regional Corporation (ASRC), co-owners of the new LLC.

TriQuest-Puget Plastics LLC is the largest injection molding operation in the Pacific Northwest. It has approximately 265 employees. In the merger process, all employees from both operations were terminated, and hiring for the new LLC was done from that entire pool.
