Resort Condo Hotel Slated for Historic Miami Beach Bath Club

MIAMI BEACH, FL-After lengthy debate, the city has finally approved a plan by Miami developer R. Donahue Peebles to transform the former Bath Club into a $115-million resort condominium hotel. Construction is set to start next summer.

The 112 condo units will be priced from $650,000 to more than $2.5 million, according to the developer. Six oceanfront villas will be marketed for $3 million and up. Sales begin in December.

Resort condo hotels are becoming an increasingly popular development along the South Florida oceanfront. Several projects are planed at Sunny Isles Beach, while others are in the construction pipeline at nearby Fort Lauderdale Beach.
