Simmons Vedder & Co. Tickets Purchase for Multifamily Project

HOUSTON-Simmons Vedder & Co. jumps into Houston's development frenzy to meet growing multifamily housing demands. The firm has signed papers to buy the old Gulf Publishing Co. from WorldOil.com.

The building, built in the 1920s, is located in the 3300 block of Allen Parkway, just west of Downtown Houston. Simmons Vedder plans to demolish the old building and construct a multi-story residential tower on the site.

The building's owner, WorldOil.com, is being represented by CB Richard Ellis. A number of multifamily developers have been buying land and developing new projects on the periphery of Downtown Houston in recent months.
