CONCORD, NC-The NorthEast Medical Center here, 25 miles northeast of Charlotte, wants to expand lab facilities, establish an outpatient surgery center and upgrade outdated equipment. State approval, however, isn't expected until February.
The hospital says it will spend over $6 million to renovate and expand lab facilities; establish a $9 million surgical and radiology facility and upgrade outdated equipment. NorthEast expects to open the outpatient clinic in the fall of 2002.
