Carolina Broadband Wins City Franchise

CHARLOTTE-The contract follows a similar deal by the locally-based firm with the city of Raleigh, NC earlier this year. Carolina Broadband plans to offer competitive cable television and telecommunications services within the next 12 months.

Raleigh, NC signed a similar agreement with Carolina Broadband earlier this year. The company is FCC-certified to serve Charlotte, Raleigh and six other cities in North and South Carolina. Carolina Broadband must reach 60% to 70% of the city within four years, according to the franchise contract.
