Raleigh, NC signed a similar agreement with Carolina Broadband earlier this year. The company is FCC-certified to serve Charlotte, Raleigh and six other cities in North and South Carolina. Carolina Broadband must reach 60% to 70% of the city within four years, according to the franchise contract.
