Expansion of gambling is likely to be on thebiggest issues in the legislative session, accordingto Mike Hatch, state attorney general, who spoke at arecent meeting of the Midwest Alliance of SovereignTribes at Treasure Island Casino in Red Wing, MN.

Nevada casino developer Don Laughlin plans to build a casinoin the Twin Cities with 90% of the profits going tothe state, and there has been talk about building aharness-racing track in the Twin Cities and putting acard room in it.
