GeoGolf Leaves Research Triangle for Gastonia

GASTONIA, NC-The computer animation company is leasing 2,400 sf in the former Dixie Yarn Co. facility on Marietta Street, 20 miles west of Charlotte. GeoGolf is working on a $1.5 million contract with the Professional Golfers Association of America.

GeoGolf produces computerized drawings of golf tournaments that allow viewers to follow the game in real time as it is being broadcast. The company also applies the same technology to draw 3D illustrations of housing developments and retail projects. The applications allow developers to show prospective tenants how their homes or retail outlets would fit into a project.
