As regional vice president for operations in the Southeast, de Roode will oversee properties owned by Bass Hotels & Resorts from Hilton Head Island, SC to Puerto Rico. These encompass 10 hotels under the Inter-Continental and Crowne Plaza brands.
In de Roode's dual role as vice president and general manager of the Hotel Inter-Continental Miami, he will also have day-to-day responsibility for the local property on Biscayne Bay in Downtown Miami. It includes 602 rooms and more than 61,000 sf of meeting, exhibition and banquet space.
