The San Diego-based developer's majority-owned subsidiary, Alpine Gardens East Inc., built the 126-unit, $22.5-million facility on six acres. The facility includes a 36-unit Alzheimer's and dementia facility.
Tri-National's plan for its senior housing subsidiary is to offer housing, health care and personal support for elderly residents who need assistance with certain daily activities.
Alpine Gardens owns an additional 22.5-acre parcel in Temecula, with preliminary plans for 255 condominium units. Several additional parcels are under contract.
"We are proud to have completed the first in what we hope to be an ongoing stream of senior community developments," says Tri-National president Michael Sunstein. "We believe these projects address a significant and growing need of the country's active seniors to maintain their independence and live in an attractive environment, while still having access to modest levels of support and assistance."
Tri-National's other major initiative involves development of a major resort and residential community in Baja California near Ensenada, Mexico.
