Patriot National is a commercial bank that reported assets of $193 million as of Sept. 30, 2000. The bank has three full service offices in Stamford, Greenwich and Old Greenwich serving Fairfield County, CT and Westchester County, NY. Patriot National also has three loan production offices in New York, New Jersey and Greenwich.
In addition to his election as president and CEO, Howell, a resident of Danbury, was also elected to the board of directors of Patriot National Bank and was elected vice chairman and a member of the board of Patriot National Bancorp.
Howell served as a senior executive officer of N.S.S. Bank for over 20 years. He was also a director and chief operating officer of the Bank and N.S.S. Bancorp. Howell worked in lending, finance, operations and marketing.
Since 1998, Howell served as president and a member of the board of directors of Summit Bank, a $1.3 billion, 24-branch, full service bank, with headquarters in New Canaan and Norwalk.
