The huge retailer sees Minneapolis-based Target as amore attractive acquisition target than is Kmart, saysRichard Church, a Salomon Smith Barney retail analystwho spoke to the company on a recent trip to Europe.

Target spokeswoman Carolyn Brookter said that hercompany does not comment on speculative reports.
