The first building, One Santa Fe Place, would be a 27-story, 458,000-sf office tower bounded by Broadway, Pacific Highway and a future extension of C Street that would be the first new office tower built in the Downtown area in 10 years.

Another phase of the project calls for a 20-story, 373,900-sf office tower, Two Santa Fe Place, on the south side of Broadway. Combined, the value of the two office buildings would be about $255 million.

Catellus officials don't have any tenants for the towers, which are not scheduled to break ground until early 2002. They wouldn't be completed until 2004.

The San Francisco-based developer sold land to British Columbia-based Bosa Development last spring for the residential portion of thelong-awaited Santa Fe Place--two 39-story, 222-unit condominium towers expected to start next year.
