Central Phoenix Apartment Complex Goes to California Investors

PHOENIX--An apartment complex in central Phoenix has been picked up by a pair of California investors for more than $38,000 a unit.

Private investors from Del Mar, California, Rich and Mary Lou Amen, purchased the Villa Jay Apartments, a 34-unit complex at 5725 N. 8th Place. The sale price equates to just over $38,000 per unit.

The complex was owned by another California couple, Vernon and Dora Trail, for 13 years prior to the sale.

The Phoenix office of Marcus & Millichap represented both principals in the transaction.
