Diversified Properties, a San Diego County commercial real estate development firm, is building the two, two-story offices totaling 97,500 sf for Illumina Inc. at the Eastgate Pointe office center. The building sites are at 9885 and 9875 Town Centre Drive. Illumina also has expansion rights for an additional three-story, 81,000-sf facility.
Illumina Inc. is a genetic technology firm specializing in use of genetics to improve drugs and cure diseases.
Washington Capital Management is providing a $22-million construction loan and a $24-million permanent loan for the project. Rob Merkin and Nick Psyllos of CB Richard Ellis' San Diego Central office represented the developer, Diversified Properties. Neil Fox of CB Richard Ellis' San Diego Central office represented the tenant.
