Developers Buy Parcel for Hilton Hotel

SAN DIEGO-Two developers buy land here for a 192-room Hilton hotel, scheduled to break ground in early 2001.

Waterford Development, a Carlsbad-based hotel development company, and Phelps Program Management of Greeley, CO, bought the property at 5520 Morehouse Dr. from W.W. Miramesa Corp., a unit of San Diego-based Westlodge Hospitality.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Waterford and Phelps plan to break ground early next year on a Hilton Garden Inn on the site. Grubb & Ellis Co.'s West Los Angeles office represented the buyer and the seller in the transaction.
