The new division's first project is already in the works. Sitework has started for Brookside, a 394-unit townhome project located in Monroe Twp. Construction is expected to begin by the end of this year.
Kalian opted for Monroe Twp. as a starting point because the 43-sq.-mi. Middlesex County community is already sustaining several successful developments catering to the over-55 market. Located halfway between New York City and Philadelphia, it's become a magnet for retirees who don't want to move far from their home turf.
