Permits for new commercial construction totaled 85,with 90 issued for the first three quarters last year. Six permits wereissued for new hospitals, schools or churches, compared to double thatfigure in the first three quarters last year.
The remaining permits,724, were issued for commercial remodeling or in the miscellaneouscategory. For the same time frame last year, 416 permits were issued inthe remodel category.
