Specifically, gas tax proceeds amounting to $100 million would be applied during the first fiscal year of the program, rising to $200 million each year thereafter. For the auto sales tax, at least $80 million would be applied in the first year, $140 million in the second year, and $200 million thereafter. The total transportation improvement package adds up to a minimum of $1.4 billion.
Specific projects haven't been outlined yet. A detailed plan is expected shortly.
