IBM to Reconfigure 700,000-SF Software Lab

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC-IBM's four-building, 700,000-sf software lab is about to get tweaked into a more open team-oriented facility.

According to the company, construction is expected to start in the second quarter of 2001 and take about three years to complete. The facility is right next door to the new 200,000-sf office and lab complex of Tivoli Systems, IBM's new software subsidiary. The $34-million Tivoli office opened earlier this year.
