"The commercial furniture business has changed dramatically in recent years," Marshall Abrahams, commercial division president, tells GlobeSt.com. "We no longer need a big warehouse." Most deliveries are being shipped directly from key manufacturers to customers.

Jeff McClintock, the listing broker with Frederick Ross Co., says the property will fetch $60 per sf to $65 per sf--about $8 million to $8.6 million--although no asking price has been set for the property that had been developed by Desks Inc. The facility has a 66,000-sf warehouse and 14 loading docks. The showroom area is 54,000 sf and offices total 12,000 sf.

"The facility is perfect for many different uses," McClintock told GlobeSt.com. The property is positioned along S. Santa Fe Drive, an artery used by more than 100,000 vehicles each day. McClintock says it could be readily converted into a telecom hotel, large retail showroom or distribution center. The facility is the largest of its kind in the central submarket, McClintock says.
