Salem lawyer Richard Allen was appointed as receiver by a Marion County judge. A sheriff's sale will be held at Anderson's downtown Salem store at 10 a.m. Nov. 22 to sell all of the company's assets as a whole. Fox reportedly hopes to be the highest bidder, and re-enter the sporting goods business. It is unclear what will become of the Salem store, or if Fox would reopen its Albany and Eugene locations which were recently closed.
