Construction has begun on the complete exterior and lobbyrenovation to the 90,000-sf, four-story office building at 1300 W.Sam Houston Parkway. The tab for the re-do will be about $4million.

"When complete, the renovated building will compete with class Aand B properties in the hot West Houston market," says Kris Lilly,leasing agent for Moody Rambin Interests, which is handingconstruction and managing the property. "Leasing has already begunin anticipation of an April 2001 move-in date," Lilly "We'll begin building in tenant spaces in February.We're conducting hard-hat tours for the hardy types."

Gone will be the small standard windows. They'll be replacedwith larger 6.5-ft. vision windows. All offices will havestate-of-the-art telecommunications capabilities.Fiber-optic wiringis being installed to every office suite for easy connections tosuch current business essentials as teleconferencing, videoteleconferencing and high-speed Internet access. Long distance andlocal phone service can be bundled in, providing voice mail,digital satellite TV and digital desktop equipment.
