Big Bowl is half owned by Dallas-based Brinker International Inc. It is in the process of acquiring the outstanding shares from the fast-growing Chicago-based Lettuce Entertain You chain.
Big Bowl will be the fourth Brinker International restaurant along the 16th Street Mall in the CBD, which is undergoing extensive renovation by owner Chicago-based Equity Office Inc. Other Brinker operations are Maggiano's Little Italy and the Corner Bakery in the Denver Pavilions retail, restaurant and entertainment center and a soon-to-be-opened Chili's.
