Just over a year after launching its San Diego operation, the local office is the second to report a profit out of 15 metropolitan locations across the nation, according to zipRealty.com officials.
"We are approaching operational profitability market by market," says Juan Mini, CEO and co-founder of Richmond, CA-based zipRealty.com. "Achieving success in San Diego--the second metro we launched in--reinforces our goal to be operationally profitable in all of our metros by the first quarter of next year," he adds.
In August, zipRealty.com announced a strategic relationship with eBay to provide professional real estate services as part of a new eBay real estate category. Current zipRealty.com investors include eBay, Benchmark Capital, Vanguard Ventures and Barrington Partners.
