Now, those groups have put aside their differences to form the Somerset Business Partnership. Those groups are the Somerset Coalition for Smart Growth, the Somerset Alliance for the Future and the Somerset County Chamber of Commerce. Stephen Dragos, president of the Somerset Alliance for the Future, is the interim CEO of the new organization.
The early goals of the organization, according to its mission statement, will be to generally increase and enhance development opportunities, serve as a collective voice, prepare development strategies, encourage brownfields redevelopment and work with existing government agencies on certain issues.
