Former VA Building Gets $13.5-Mil Facelift

SAN DIEGO-Old Veterans building has received a $13.5 million renovation in a project that takes advantage of the hot office market in Mission Valley.

Roel finished renovation of Plaza 2020 at 2020 Camino del Rio in Mission Valley, a project that included the remodeling of all 10 floors of the 30-year-old building and the addition of a new, redesigned facade. Among the numerous upgrades are a new glazing system and replacement of the building's mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

David Blackburn of Property Systems is the developer in charge of the project, while Russell Stout & Associates is the architect. Neece Commercial handled the leasing.
