Delta Picks Beers to Joint Venture New Boston Terminal Construction

ATLANTA- Locally-based Beers Construction Co. and Boston-based Beacon Skanska are building a one million-sf, $386 million terminal at Boston's Logan International Airport for Delta Air Lines. Completion is expected by fall 2004.

The terminal will allow Delta to consolidate all flight operations into one location at Logan. The landside terminal building will be connected to an airside satellite concourse with an underground walkway that includes people movers.

Beacon-Beers, which is also working on a 350-bed dormitory for Duke University in Durham NC, is managing the preconstruction and construction work on the terminal project in affiliation with Boston-based Tishman Construction Corp. of Massachusetts.
