Tweeter, a division of THEG USA LP, is taking 10,337 sf at WoodRidge Plaza Shopping Center in Conroe, north of Houston, fromAmerishop Woodlands LP as part of an aggressive expansion plan."We've done three deals this year for Tweeter," Ed Page of BoydPage told "One was on the Katy Freeway, one block westof Memorial City Mall, and the other was diagonally across thefreeway from First Colony Mall in Sugar Land. We've got two moretrade areas identified and trying to find the locations."

Tweeter's strategy, Page says, is to buy up an operating entityin a market, reorganize it and expand from that base. "They alwaysseem to achieve an immediate dramatic increase in sales." THEG USAalso owns the Home Entertainment Inc. chain.

MMAX Inc., is leasing 3,044 sf in Woodway Village for a new Sohoupscale fashion store, from Woodway Village LP. MMAX operates 14stores in Houston, Atlanta, New Orleans and Dallas under storefrontnames including Soho, Dolce & Gabbana, Max Mara, Sergio Rossi,Versace and Versace Jeans Couture/Versus in Houston's Galleria.
