San Diego-based Henry's Marketplace will open at least eight newstores in the two counties over the next year, company officialssay.

The San Diego-based chain was acquired last year by Boulder,CO-based Wild Oats Markets Inc., the top U.S. natural foodsretailer with more than 110 supermarkets operating under severalnameplates, including Wild Oats Community Market, Alfalfa's andNature's Fresh. Henry¹s has opened stores in Yorba Linda and LagunaNiguel over the last two months.

At the same time, the chain announced this week that it willclose its original store at University and College avenues. TheBoney family founded the chain in the 1970s.
