MainStreet, which has about 160 employees, cited economic reasons for the move, saying rent is cheaper in the area south of San Jose. They aren't the only company who has decided this - developer Legacy Partners, among others, is making inroads into the red-hot market south of San Jose. San Jose is typically seen as the core of Silicon Valley.
