San Francisco-based Bank of America Private Bank is expanding in California and plans to open new offices in Del Mar and the NorthernCalifornia city of Walnut Creek on Dec. 18. Officials will be co-located with BofA's other investment and business financial services professionals.

Bank of America has earmarked California for expansion and growth.

"This year, broadening our client access with 10 additional Private Bank facilities in high-potential, affluent communities statewide ... doubles our presence in local communities," says Connie Beck, Private Bank president for the western region. "The explosion of wealth inCalifornia outside of traditional concentration areas, changes in lifestyles and traffic patterns all are reasons we see opportunity for establishing Private Bank offices in these communities."

The Del Mar Heights location is the seventh new Private Bank hub that has opened this year. It's located at 12730 High Bluff Dr.

Selecting sites like Del Mar Heights--a community that is home to a high concentration of business owners, venture capitalists and other wealthy clients--enables Bank of America to capitalize on its dominant position in California markets.

"This successful strategy, providing affluent customers with one-stop access to Private Bank products and services, Premier Banking, and Banc of America Investment Services Inc., will help drive our growth in California and the West," Beck adds.
