Now, the combined chains, operating under the Stop & Shop brand, have signed a lease for 32,408 sf of class A space for its new regional headquarters. The site is Summit Associates' Raritan Plaza I at Raritan Center here. R.J. Brunelli & Co., the Old Bridge, NJ-based brokerage firm, arranged the 10-year lease for the building's entire 6th floor. Occupancy is expected to occur next March.
With the conversion of 62 Edwards stores in the metro NY/NJ region, Stop & Shop now operates 260 stores in New England, New York and New Jersey.
