Despite inclement weather, the $14 million temporary casino was filled to capacity within two hours of opening it doors and had a waiting line to get in, according to casino workers.
The Rincon built a temporary 35,000-sf casino to get its machines in operation, while its $100-million Harrah's hotel-casino is undewr construction. The new facility is scheduled to be finished in 2002.
Rincon has been trying to build a left-turn entrance on the high-speed, two-lane artery. Issue of a permit by the county for this improvement is still pending approval.
