The nine-acre parcel being used by Great Spring is located near another Hartz-owned site on which the company intends to build as 400,000-sf multi-tenant industrial facility. In the Great Spring transaction, Frank Truesdell, senior vice president, and Doug Gaffney, vice president, of TC Northeast Metro Inc. represented the tenant.
"The Meadowlands/Hudson County industrial market is tighter than it has ever been," according to Hartz president/COO Emanuel Stern. "We just put the last two pieces of Harmon Cove into place with the Lantis Eyewear and Corporate Express build-to-suit deals. But we're still in the advantageous position of having land in Kearny and Jersey City to meet the demand for new industrial/distribution facilities in the market."
