Boston Properties Inc. Project is Honored Locally

WASHINGTON, DC-A local REIT recently received three prestigious awards for its work on 1 Freedom Square. According to E. Mitchel Norville, senior vice president and manager of Boston Properties Inc., The National Association of Office and Industrial Properties voted 1 Freedom Square the best building in speculative high-rise.

An 18-story, 414,000-sf class A office tower in Reston Town Center, the building is situated off the Reston, VA Parkway. It is located in a planned community featuring first-class office space, specialty retail, dining and hotel facilities. Tenants are Accenture, Cooley Godward, Hale & Dorr, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and Regus International. It is a joint venture with Terrabrook, a planned community developer. Smith Group is the architectural firm, and Centex Construction is the general contractor.
