Property Manager of the Year honors went to Sherie Nishikawa, manager of Ashforth Pacific's Liberty Centre and Lloyd 700 Building. Nishikawa was integral to the leasing of space at Liberty Centre, 650 N.E. Holladay St., and in releasing some 25% of the Lloyd 700 Building (700 N.E. Multnomah St.) following the Port of Portland's relocation to Old Town.
In office building awards category, honors for the best building over 500,000 sf went to the 16-year-old Pacwest Center, a 30-story Class A building with a two-level retail atrium position on Portland's transit mall at 1211 S.W. Fifth Ave. Its distinctive sheathing is comprised of alternating layers of solid-sheet anodized natural aluminum and non-reflective gray-glass squares.
The award for best 250,000-sf to 499,999-sf building went to Liberty Centre, a 270,000-sf Class A built in 1997. The 17-a pedestrian plaza and an attached, aboveground parking garage are other features. The best 100,000-sf to 249,000-sf building went to the 1515 Building, a 10-story, Class B structure at 1515 S.W. Fifth Ave. Built in 1981, is boasts an enclosed six-story atrium that allows for lots of natural light.
