Medical Technology Company Establishes New HQ and Research Center

GAITHERSBURG, MD-Surgi-Vision Inc. is the newest tenant at 20 Firstfield Rd. The firm is leasing 18,000 sf for its company headquarters and research and development center. Alexander Real Estate of Pasadena, CA owns the 54,000-sf building.

Surgi-Vision is an emerging technology company focused on creating the next generation of magnetic resource imaging. With this technology, physicians can obtain high-resolution images to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as heart disease and cancer.

The 54,000-sf building's owner is Pasadena, CA-based Alexandria Real Estate Equities Inc. Lou Christopher and Bill Barroll, based in Cushman Realty's Washington, DC office, negotiated the lease on Surgi-Vision's behalf.
