New Online Commercial Lender Beefs Up Board

PALO ALTO, CA-GlobalStake Corp., which last week introduced its online commercial-lending tool, is gaining the former president and CEO of the Oakland mortgage-banking branch of Mason McDuffie Financial Corp. as a board member.

GlobalStake's board already includes chairman Frederick Hayes-Roth, former CEO of Teknowledge Corp.; president Jack Nissim, formerly of GE Capital and John Hancock Real Estate Finance; and CFO Scott Robinson, also formerly of Tekowledge Corporation. Last week, the company introduced GlobalStake.com, its online commercial real-estate lending tool concentrating on debt and equity capital.

The company also provides investment sales services for commercial real-estate property owners, managers and other commercial real-estate professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley. GlobalStake has headquarters in Palo Alto and in San Rafael.
