SAN BRUNO, CA-The Martin Group and Sares-Regis Homes are teaming on the acquisition and redevelopment of the 20-acre San Bruno navy base. The two companies are splitting the $25 million purchase price and planning a $200 million mixed-use project that will include 300,000 sf of office space, 210 apartment units, 190 units of senior housing and a 500-room hotel.

Company officials expect to break ground early next year on the project, located on El Camino Real between Highways 101 and 280. Also coming to the area is a $15 billion BART expansion that will include 7.4 miles of track and new stations in South San Francisco, San Bruno, San Francisco International Airport and Millbrae.
