The Proxim operation is moving out of its Vista Park location in north Austin, which had been shared with its former owner, the Seimens Co., says Mike Tipps, a principal in Colliers Oxford's Austin office. He had represented Proxim, which is paying $16.50 per triple net, in the lease signing while Hale Umstattd, Transwestern senior vice president of development services, had acted on behalf of his company's north Austin development. Assisting Tipps had been Colliers Oxford brokers, Bob Wynn and Anne Marie Lenton. Proxim will be sharing a 78,164-sf office building, finished in 1999, with Birch & Davis, a 38,000-sf tenant. The building is located at 13640 Briarwick Dr.
Umstattd told GlobeSt.com that the Proxim space had leased within 60 days of coming to market after spending nearly six months negotiating a settlement with a prior space taker who had vacated last summer.
Amber Oaks Corporate Center's lead tenant is Radium URS, which occupies 86,000 sf in two buildings and has pre-leased another 92,000 in two more that will deliver this year. NetSolve has inked a 78,000-sf pact to take over a third building when it delivers, leaving two being built under spec, Umstattd told GlobeSt.com.
Austin's Susman Tisdale Gayle has designed the corporate center, with White Construction, also of Austin, is acting as general contractor. Land Design Partners, another Austin firm, is the project's landscape architect.
