Fannie Mae Prepares for Another Round of Redemptions

WASHINGTON, DC-Fannie Mae will again be redeeming the principal amounts indicated on a security issue this month. The redemption date is listed as Feb. 22 of this year.

Spokespeople for Fannie Mae state the company is the largest non-bank financial services company in the world and operates pursuant to a federal charter. They add that by the end of this decade the company will spend $2 trillion to increase homeownership rates and aide 18-million targeted families.
